Now accepting new clients! My sessions are all virtual, and I work with clients throughout the state of Michigan. For a productive experience in therapy, I feel it’s very important for a client to find a therapist whose approach is right for them. My approach to therapy is client-centered. I listen without judgement and help guide you toward finding the answers that are already inside of you. My goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable while empowering you to make progress toward your goals. Throughout our lives, we are all socialized in different ways to abandon our true natures. We often make choices to fit in or meet expectations even when those choices don’t align with what is best for us. Through therapy, you can take steps to create a life and develop relationships that are meaningful and authentic. My specialties include anxiety, depression, and intimacy and relationships. I enjoy working with clients of all ages, including couples. I have significant experience working with teenagers on issues of anxiety, emotion regulation, relationships, and identity. I am passionate about the mind-body connection and tailoring sessions to meet each client's needs.

I've had the privilege of walking alongside clients in their healing journeys and have found that, for many whose trust (in others and in themselves) has been shaken, finally feeling heard and understood serves as a powerful corrective experience. I believe that these experiences are crucial in facilitating personal growth and change. I recognize that all clients have unique strengths, and I build upon these to create a working alliance that is non-judgmental, empowerment-based, and client-focused. Many feel alienated not only in their struggles but in their pursuit of wellbeing, especially when they have not received a great deal of support in making the changes they desire. I am honored to provide such support and join clients on their paths toward healing. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults in the treatment of trauma, complex PTSD, attachment, anxiety, and depression. I am trained in and often utilize trauma-focused interventions including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy (FFTT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also frequently employ solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and emotional regulation strategies in my practice, depending on each client’s unique needs.

Living in your body may feel exhausting, unfamiliar, or even unsafe. Trauma, relationship harm, health changes or chronic illness, and struggles with body image and eating can leave us feeling disconnected and stuck between overwhelm and shutdown. I offer a warm, grounded presence where you can feel seen and begin cultivating a deeper sense of self-trust and wholeness - a space to explore lived experiences and learn supportive wellness practices. I work with busy students who are carrying the weight of stress, trauma, and grief while navigating immense transitions and responsibilities. Many of my clients are healing from sexual violence, emotional relationship harm, chronic/invisible illness and health-related changes (migraines, endometriosis, PCOS, POTS, cancer), and concerns around relationship with body and food, including disordered eating. I've supported students and young adults for over a decade, with many years of experience working in a college specialty counseling clinic. I use a mind-body approach that blends somatic (body-based), cognitive, and mindfulness practices including Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT Tapping). This helps us understand ourselves with compassion, cope with emotional overwhelm and physical body discomfort, heal from trauma, and reconnect to relationships and activities that nourish us. I find great joy in serving multicultural and multi-faith communities while providing a weight-inclusive, culturally-affirming, and trauma-informed space where all parts of you are welcome.
