Hello! I am Dr. Amy Lee, I am a licensed clinical psychologist, a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA®), a member of the prestigious National Register of Health Service Psychologists organization, and a certified perinatal mental health expert. I have approximately 10 years working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Generally, my patients view me as someone who is transparent, humorous, and flexible in therapy. My "typical" patients tend to have difficulties regulating their emotions/impulses, tolerating stressful situations, and feeling overwhelmed and guilty about almost "everything." I have success with patients who have depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, work-related problems, family conflict, a history of trauma, relationship challenges, and social skills deficits. Please visit my website to get a feel of what I am like as a psychologist. I also provide one free 15-minute consultation to ensure that I can help you meet your goals, determine if we are a good fit, and answer any questions you may have about therapy.

I am an LCSW specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, trauma and co-occurring mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety and trauma. An eating disorder can consume your life. Eating disorders are about complex issues that impact your physical and mental health. They are a way of coping with difficult thoughts and emotions through disturbances in eating behaviors. Full recovery is possible. Using psychodynamic interventions, EMDR and behavioral techniques such as CBT, DBT and Mindfulness, I help clients access and express their thoughts and emotions, find relief from physical symptoms, heal through practicing self-compassion, and become motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives. My work is collaborative and supportive, emphasizing emotional healing and personal growth. Together we will work creatively to explore your life, identify ways to overcome your challenges, and connect with your strengths and resilience.

With over 20 years of experience, I specialize in anxiety, including obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic attacks, and social anxiety, as well as depression and ADHD. I also support college students navigating academic stress, overthinking, self-doubt, perfectionism, social and relationship challenges, and balancing school, work, and personal responsibilities. I integrate evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to meet your unique needs. I can help you respond differently to unhelpful or intrusive thoughts, cope with uncertainty, manage intense emotions, and build a life that feels meaningful, enjoyable, and grounded. Our work focuses on lasting change, not just short-term relief. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, nonjudgmental, and down-to-earth. Whether you’re adjusting to college, preparing for graduation, navigating relationships, or feeling overwhelmed by academic or personal demands, therapy offers a supportive space to build practical skills and move toward your goals. Sessions are offered through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, making it easy to fit therapy into your busy schedule.

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It usually means you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. I work with college students and young adults who are trying to keep up on the outside while feeling stressed, burned out, or unsure of themselves on the inside. Therapy with me is practical, supportive, and focused on helping you understand what’s actually driving your anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt, and what to do about it in real life. Sessions are a space to slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and build tools you can use outside of therapy. You don’t need to have the right words, a clear goal, or a crisis to start. We take things at your pace and figure it out together. If you’re curious about therapy but not sure it’s for you, a consultation is a low-pressure way to ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.

We specialize in working with survivors of sexual violence, both from childhood and adulthood. Our services are fully virtual, and we offer both individual and group therapy. Sessions with me are relaxed, productive, and quite often include some laughter mixed in! Clients can feel comfortable sharing as much, or as little, of their stories as they wish. Having a history of sexual violence can have a tremendous effect on our lives, consciously and unconsciously, impacting current relationships, our sense-of-self, and the way we connect with others. Our all-women team of therapists help clients build coping skills, reduce PTSD symptoms, and feel happier and safer as they move through the world. We operate from a feminist perspective and utilize trauma-informed approaches to foster resiliency and empower women to achieve all that they are capable of.

I work with neurodivergent adults experiencing burnout from overfunctioning and masking. Many of my clients manage competing responsibilities while coping with anxiety, depression, relational conflict, and the lasting impact of trauma. Many are BIPOC adults from immigrant communities exploring intersecting identities and cultural expectations. I offer therapy in English and Spanish and strive to create a supportive, culturally responsive space where clients feel understood. Together, we focus on developing practical strategies to support meaningful change that can be sustained long after therapy ends.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in midtown Manhattan. When I decided to go back to school for a master’s degree, I chose social work because I felt strongly about its foundational belief that focus should be on both a person and their environment. During graduate school at Fordham University I saw many appealing paths I could continue on after graduation. While both macro and micro levels of practice are extremely important, I felt best suited for work with individuals on a deeper level. I wanted to further my education and went on to complete the four-year postgraduate training program in Adult Psychoanalysis and Comprehensive Psychotherapy from The National Institute for the Psychotherapies. Prior to private practice I worked with a diverse population in various clinics throughout New York City. In addition to private practice I have been guest faculty at the Training Institute for Mental Health and taught a course on Eating Disorders. In March 2020, I completed a post master’s program in Spirituality and Social Work at New York University.
