I have over 25 years experience working with teenagers and adults. I understand the social, behavioral, and academic challenges clients face, not only with the pandemic, but with social media, peer pressure, self-esteem, eating disorders, relationships, decision making, substance use, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. I provide cognitive behavior therapy, which is to help clients understand why they are thinking and behaving the way they are and to help them understand that in order to change for the long term, they need to first understand what is causing the problem. I help clients develop coping skills and self-care strategies for in the moment and every day use.

I strive to create trust in self by sharing tools and using strengths you already have to develop a healthier relationship with self which will translate to better relationships in all aspects of life. I look forward to hearing from you!
Colorful Resilience is a Queer-Afro-Latina-owned outpatient mental health services office in West Springfield, Massachusetts. We proudly provide therapy – primarily, but not exclusively – to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, First Generation, and immigrant folks. For clients in the Western MA area, we offer in-person consultations and virtually for those all across Massachusetts. Due to a lack of clinical representation and cultural competency in the mental health field, the BIPOC, LGBTQ+, First Generation, and immigrant communities have historically been underserved. Colorful Resilience hopes to remedy such disparity by ensuring all our team members are representatives of the communities we serve, fearless allies, or both. Not only utilizing education but also lived experiences to provide the most relevant behavioral health services.

I also specialize in treating first responders. Please feel free to reach out to me via email and I will be happy to send you a brief Patient Completed Assessment via email to see if we would be a good fit! You can expect no more than a 24 hour turn around time for responses.
I believe a therapist's job is to help people get "unstuck." All behavior serves a purpose. Even the most painful or confusing patterns often began as ways to cope with overwhelming circumstances. In therapy, we'll explore these parts of yourself and work to deepen self-awareness. Over time, you will come to recognize that while your emotional responses once made perfect sense, they may no longer serve you in the same way. Therapy is not about erasing or lingering in the past, but about making meaning from it. At the heart of my work is a belief in the healing power of feeling truly seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll turn inward with curiosity and compassion so you can move through the world with greater clarity, coherence, and connection.

Are you someone who knows how you'd like things to be, but have a hard time getting there? You are definitely not alone. Change is hard. The good news is that change is also possible. I specialize in working with female-identified college students and other adults who are successful in many ways, but have had challenges sticking with counseling in the past. This could be for different reasons, such as difficulties trusting the process of therapy or difficulty establishing a trusting relationship that allows for fully engaging in counseling. Together, we can create a space where change feels possible and progress feels sustainable, whether in short-term solution-focused work or longer-term therapy. I worked in higher education for over 20 years, so I have a strong understanding of campus life and the student experience. If you believe that I could be a good match for you, please reach out and schedule a free 20 minute consultation to discuss your goals and hopes for therapy. You’re used to handling things. You’ve figured out how to succeed, meet deadlines, and show up for others — but lately it feels harder. Maybe anxiety is louder, your mood dips more often, or relationships feel strained. You don’t have to keep pushing through alone. Therapy can help you build steadiness, clarity, and more intentional choices in the middle of a demanding season. At Mind Field Therapy, I work with college students navigating anxiety, depression, identity shifts, relationship stress, and the impact of difficult life events or past trauma. I’ll absolutely ask how you’re feeling — and we’ll go deeper than that. I’m direct, grounded, and occasionally use humor when it helps us loosen anxiety’s grip. The goal isn’t endless venting; it’s understanding what’s driving the patterns and building tools you can actually use.
