Therapists for college students near 77005
I am so glad you stopped by! I am eager to work with college students, like yourself, and have a background in working with both undergrad and grad students in the Dallas area. In therapy, I offer a safe and confidential relationship, where you can hope to gain self-esteem, relevant skills, and personal strength, learning to more fully trust yourself and others. A great deal of my clients are wrestling with depression, anxiety, and self-worth due to family/childhood issues and relational struggles that tend to become more apparent once they have entered college. Together, we dig into these hard conversations and I help you relate differently to anxiety, pain, fear, and sadness, while also coming alongside you in creating the life you desire. Finding a therapist you connect with is an important aspect of effective therapy. I will serve you with respect and empathy while encouraging you in your personal journey of growth. I am both honored and committed to meeting you where you are, learning where you want to go, and helping you find the best way there. I hope to talk to you soon!
My ideal client is someone navigating a significant life transition—whether it’s entering a new phase of life, adjusting to a career shift, or healing after the end of a relationship, or starting a new one. They may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from themselves and others. They often appear high-functioning on the outside but internally struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, or emotional exhaustion. Their needs often include learning how to manage stress, set healthy boundaries, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen relationships. I have 13 years of experience and am licensed in three states. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, presence, and collaboration. I draw primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based practices to help clients build psychological flexibility, develop deeper self-awareness, and move toward a more values-driven life. I believe that healing begins in the context of a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. Therapy is a shared process, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to show up and be vulnerable. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance and insight.

Hi, I’m Nancy Harvey, LPC. I work with students who are juggling a lot — academics, relationships, identity shifts, family stress, or just the weight of trying to hold everything together. My approach is calm, practical, and collaborative. I focus on helping you understand what you’re feeling, why it makes sense, and what you can actually do to feel better. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, burnout, or simply feeling stuck, I meet you where you are and help you move forward at a pace that feels manageable. Therapy with me feels like having someone in your corner who is honest, thoughtful, and truly invested in your growth. You don’t have to carry everything alone — I’m here to help.
Katie works with teens, individuals, couples and families who are experiencing difficulty navigating life transitions, low self-esteem, trauma, depression, anxiety and stress. She utilizes a collaborative approach to co-create goals with her clients and walk alongside her clients during their healing process. She emphasizes the importance of trauma-informed care, which prioritizes her client’s felt safety and support during the treatment process. Katie utilizes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help her clients reach their goals. EFT is a person-centered approach that is based in attachment theory, and utilizes emotion to help identify and change negative patterns of interaction, as well as increase emotional intelligence. Katie is passionate about working with trauma, and is trained in Eye Movement and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) to help her clients navigate the healing process. EMDR is utilized to help clients process traumatic memories.

Hi, I’m Dr. Kristy Money, a licensed neuropsychologist with 20 years of experience helping people better understand their brains and themselves. I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology and specialize in neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism, as well as anxiety, depression, and identity-related stress. I offer same day autism and ADHD assessment report as well. If you’re a college student feeling overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or wondering “why is this so hard for me when it seems easier for everyone else?” — you’re not alone. I offer both neuropsychological evaluations (for diagnostic clarity and accommodations) and therapy focused on practical tools, self-understanding, and real-life change. My style is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. Whether we meet remotely or in-home (for testing), my goal is to create a space where you can feel understood, capable, and more confident navigating college and beyond.
The clients I see are sometimes in college experiencing feelings of overwhelm or feeling low. These clients describe their challenges as feeling, “como con miedo,” and also, “no se que tengo.” Other clients I see are future counselors who are at the beginning of their careers and facing imposter syndrome ( “I must’ve slipped through the cracks to get to where I am now”), self-criticism (“Why can’t I get my life together!"), or burnout (feeling fatigued and like you can never catch up). These clients are usually part of activist movements or workplaces and I believe in helping the healers that are out in the world making a positive impact on society. I benefited greatly from my own experiences with counseling when I was in grad school (still do) and I hope to provide the same non-judgmental opportunities to cry or laugh or both to future clients. In my work I value humility, curiosity, self-compassion and humor. I believe these are needed to provide authenticity and support at a time when people starting out in their fields of work are taking in new information that is stretching/challenging perspectives and care for the self is a necessity to continue doing challenging work.
“We don’t have to do all of it alone, we were never meant to.” -Brene Brown Currently accepting new clients for virtual/Telehealth counseling services and hypnotherapy. My 10+ years of practicing has become enriched with opportunities to work with an array of presenting issues and populations, all of which have deeply impacted, influenced, and enhanced my fulfillment and devotion to the mental health field. I maintain and promote an inclusive mindset, welcoming all human beings to share in a safe space, in order to knock down barriers, and move toward a healthier and more desirable quality of life. While the majority of the clients on my caseload suffer from the lasting effects of trauma/PTSD, a growing pattern, stemming from anxiety, depression, and relational/attachment issues has become a close second.

I am a compassionate therapist committed to guiding AAPI and BIPOC women through the challenges rooted in cultural values, family conflicts, anxiety, depression, exploring intersectionality, and intergenerational trauma. As a South Asian American, I bring a culturally sensitive approach that fosters a connection with my clients. As a therapist, I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to support individuals in processing and overcoming the impact of traumatic experiences. EMDR involves a structured approach, helping clients identify and reframe/reprocess negative beliefs and emotions associated with past traumas. I also utilize therapeutic frameworks as Humanistic Person-Centered approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Strengths Based approach. I will be someone who listens, assists you to identify your goals, and empowers you along the therapeutic process. I will provide you with a non-judgmental, confidential safe space for you to express all you wish to share.
