"Do you want to simply "survive" in life, or do you want to "thrive" in life? Unfortunately many of us are simply surviving. With over two decades in the field of human services I, along with my dedicated staff have created a space coupled with highly effective treatment approaches to help you to live again! We offer services to those who need to heal from: depression, anxiety, family conflict, life transitions, trauma, and grief and loss. When we rid our lives of these "toxins", we make room to begin a life journey that we never thought was possible! My commitment is to work with individuals by helping them live to their fullest potential by way of providing support, encouragement and empowerment. My work is strength based in order to build a solid treatment foundation. (i.e. Instead of what's "wrong" with you, what's "right" with you?) A Journey to You offers a space that is conveniently located, has plenty of free parking, and is wheelchair accessible. The environment is quiet, comfortable and tastefully decorated, providing a place where individuals can feel a level of safety and contentment in which to work.

Licensed Professional Counselor
Allentown, PA

As a trauma-informed, bilingual psychotherapist, I am dedicated to facilitating clients' personal healing. I assist individuals in overcoming patterns of recurring memories, maladaptive behaviors, and negative self-perceptions related to themselves, others, and their environment. My objective is to help clients cultivate ambition, a growth-oriented mindset, and sustained commitment to achieving positive change. Our work will commence by examining the formative messages that shape identity, as well as those imposed by one's surroundings, which may lead to feelings of disconnection from oneself.

I use a traditional therapeutic modality (cognitive behavioral) in conjunction with a Mindfulness based approach. Clients learn to self regulate emotions as they learn to achieve their personal goals. Life will become more meaningful and fulfilling when the individual aligns with a purpose that feels authentic and valuable.

I am a versatile, dedicated clinician who is passionate about helping you uncover your true self, and pull back the layers that have gotten in the way. If you are feeling emotionally out-of-control, overwhelmed or plagued by your past, allow me to walk alongside you as we come up with a solution together. I often use an individualized, eclectic approach incorporating concepts from various modalities. I will meet you wherever you are without judgment. Sometimes, we are in need of support, or a nudge in the right direction. It may be hard to know what we need. It would be my honor to help if you can relate to any of the above. My clinical background spans over 16 years and includes work in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health settings (teens and adults). At my core, I am a humanistic therapist. Although I am versatile, I do hold certifications in both DBT and trauma-informed care. I'm happy to work with individuals ages 14+, as well as couples. If any of this resonates, please reach out today by phone or email. Our dedicated staff at Seasons of Hope and Healing are happy to assist. I have immediate openings for daytime sessions both virtually (statewide) or in Warren. There is a 2-3 week wait for evening sessions at this time. Providing therapy is truly my passion and I am happy to help!

You might be here because something feels off—like life has gotten heavier, more uncertain, or harder to manage than it used to be. Maybe you’re feeling anxious, unmotivated, stuck in your own head, or caught in patterns you can’t quite break. You might be adjusting to a big change—starting school, ending a relationship, shifting careers—or navigating the quiet, invisible grief of things not turning out the way you hoped. Whether the challenges are loud or subtle, what matters is that they’ve brought you here. You’re looking for a therapist who listens without judgment, who radiates warmth, and who offers practical tools to help.

After 40+ years of experience working with depression, anxiety, and stress management, I continue to find deep gratification in helping people relieve suffering and transform their lives. If sexuality is part of your problem, I am one of few professionals certified as a sex therapist, supervisor, and fellow by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. I work exclusively with teletherapy, which I find to be as effective as in-person sessions. You can reach me best at robsch77@gmail.com

Opening up is no small thing, but it's also the fundamental thing that gives folks relief. To this end, I try to make therapy a natural process and most of my clients say that I feel like "talking to a real person." I developed my style by working with university students on a number of campuses who taught me to drop the artificial formalities, ask deeper questions, be upfront with my care, and say what I mean. In general, I start from the standpoint that anyone seeking therapy has come by their pain honestly and that much of what folx find distressing in themselves is a reasonable response to what has happened to them. Thus, I am unlikely to give rote advice and more likely to partner with you in unpacking your past, exploring your feelings, reaching creative solutions, and lifting what's blocking you from moving toward your version of the good life. In terms of specialties, I help students work through the kinds of relationship troubles (family, romantic, friendships etc) that leave people feeling lonely, anxious, inadequate, seeking approval, depressed, misunderstood, self-critical, or slow to let others in. Queer folx, Student Veterans, adult children of alcoholics, overachievers, burnt out students, undergrad, law, medical, and grad students, young professionals, and folks in creative fields have found me helpful. Importantly, for therapy to be a liberating space, people need the freedom to talk about how their lives are shaped by their sociocultural identities as well as corresponding experiences of prejudice, marginalization, and erasure. Conversations about politics, class, race, religion, gender, sexuality and all the "isms" are fair game and also integral to figuring out how to live with more ease in these difficult times.

My therapeutic approach is relational, solution-focused, multiculturally informed, and evidence-based. I believe that cultivating a nurturing, nonjudgmental environment is the foundation for therapeutic outcomes. With a CBT- and DBT- informed approach, my clients utilize therapy to explore long-standing problems, navigate current stressors, and work on more effective ways to manage mental health symptoms. I strive to help my clients build a life that feels meaningful and rewarding, where they feel more at ease and more successful in various areas (and various stages). I specifically have experience working with teens and young adults with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and self-harm. At this moment, you face one of the most important choices of your life: Is this the moment you closed your browser and settled for what you have? Or is this the moment you reached out for therapy and reclaimed your life? My approach to therapy focuses on developing a positive vision for your life. You can’t just wish for the suffering to end. You need to be bolder. What becomes possible when the suffering ends - what will it mean for you to live a good life? Many struggle with this question. They think they know what they want, but in reality they want what someone else wanted for them. That is why my approach focuses on understanding your true self - your style of perceiving your environment, interacting with the world, and making decisions. As we discover your true self, we will also work on recognizing the existential choices you face as part of the change process and identifying how you can make those choices in alignment with your core values. You have one precious, beautiful, wild life. With every passing moment, that life is getting shorter. You’ve lost too much time to suffering already. If you are ready to change, reach out to me. I am ready to walk with you every step of the way.

Many people have insight into their problems, but struggle to find the ability to get “unstuck.” My desire is to help you find a new path, break down old habits, and discover new tools to cope. I have worked in the field of counseling for over ten years, helping people of various ages and backgrounds.

The clients I work best with usually have one thing in common: they are tired of feeling like they have to hold it all together alone. Many are high-achieving students who look “fine” on the outside but are quietly dealing with anxiety, burnout, mood changes, family stress, relationship challenges, or just the pressure of trying to figure life out. Some feel overwhelmed. Some feel unmotivated. Some feel like they’ve lost parts of themselves along the way. I’m down to earth. You don’t have to show up polished or perfect with me. You can show up as you are. I’m highly skilled in mental health treatment, including therapy and medication management when appropriate. If medication is part of your journey, I will explain your options clearly so you feel informed and in control. But I also believe healing is bigger than prescriptions alone. I deeply value creative expression as a form of therapy. Art therapy doesn’t have to mean sitting in a formal art session—it can look like exploring crochet, dancing in your room, listening to music that helps you process emotion, or writing your thoughts out when your mind feels loud. These practices matter. They regulate the nervous system. They give voice to feelings that are hard to name. I practice what I teach. I’m relatable, and I personally use creative outlets to manage my own mental wellness. I believe in realistic, sustainable coping—not just clinical advice. If you’re someone who wants support that blends real conversation, clinical expertise, and creative exploration, we might be a good fit. You deserve care that sees your whole self. You can also connect with me on Instagram at @mothriftynp, where I share mental health insights and creative inspiration.
