I believe that therapy is a wonderful way to explore inner thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive, encouraging environment. I enjoy working with college-age students who are struggling with a variety of challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD, post-partum, miscarriage, and relationship difficulties. I believe in the integration of body, mind, and spirit and the importance of bringing balance to one's life for optimal functioning. Our journey together would work toward wellness and healing in a trusting, safe, and secure relationship. I integrate a variety of therapies to best suit my clients' needs, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, trauma-focused therapies, and traditional talk psychotherapy. I have a certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, as well as training in Internal Family Systems therapy. I am dedicated to helping my clients heal from past and current traumas through the power of a trusting, secure therapeutic relationship where they can discover and know their inner strengths.

People come to therapy for many different reasons, but, at the core, they are looking for understanding, relief, or growth. Maybe you’re trying to understand why you feel the way you do, or you find yourself caught in the same difficult thoughts again and again. Perhaps you’ve noticed patterns of behavior that seem to work against your own well-being. You might be facing a life transition—chosen or not—and are feeling anxious about what’s next. Or maybe you just feel stuck. Therapy offers a space to slow down and make sense of what’s happening. Together, we can clarify your current experience, explore how you got here, and begin to shape a healthier, more fulfilling path forward.

I’m here to support you in figuring out what to do with all the insight you already have. I primarily serve folks who are navigating chronic pain/illness, disability, health anxiety, medical trauma and gaslighting, gender dysphoria, neurodivergence, and complex PTSD. I use feminist and narrative methods to translate awareness into actionable change. I also practice Somatic & Attachment Focused EMDR and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). My integrative approach is insight, depth, and systems oriented, and I’m influenced by liberation psychology, contemplative and existential philosophy, and harm reduction principles. My sessions are pragmatic and easygoing, but I am direct and don’t shy away from difficult topics. I love stories, metaphors, and riddles, and I like to incorporate humor for levity. I use books, podcasts, art, music, writing, and somatics to supplement my work. Keep an eye out for intensives and ketamine-assisted therapy options in the near future too!

Hi, I'm Michael, I understand that tackling life's challenges can feel daunting. We can feel overwhelmed, and not sure where to start. Whether you are going through a tough time or have been grappling with an ongoing mental health concern, therapy can be a tool to help you learn more about yourself and develop strategies to better manage these challenges. Prior to going into private practice I worked in college counseling for 5 years so I am familiar with the unique challenges college students face in managing their mental health while in school. In working with me, clients can expect to have a warm and non-judgmental space where they can work through personal challenges as well as work towards goals and areas of growth. Outside of work I enjoy catching a horror movie, hiking, and spending time with my diva of a cat. Some of my areas of clinical interest include, relationship and family issues, college counseling, trauma, anxiety, non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, substance use, grief & loss, and depression. I have a passion for working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and have experience providing safe and affirming therapy for trans and non-binary clients. Finding a therapist that is a good fit for you is so important. If you are interested in learning more about me and my approach to therapy please reach out and we can schedule a free 15 minute consultation. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Charlie Health is a virtual behavioral health program for adolescents and young adults with moderate or severe mental health concerns or co-occurring substance use or eating disorders. Designed to meet the needs of those who require more than weekly therapy, our program combines curated group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy into personalized treatment programs. We are helping to serve those who are in crisis, or have been historically underserved, by eliminating the most significant treatment barriers: geographical and financial access. We work with nearly all commercial insurance nationwide and have no waitlist, thereby helping people access quality, evidence-based care regardless of insurance, location, or other barriers.
