My therapeutic approach centers on the holistic well-being of individuals, with a particular focus on working with millennial female clients. My aim is to facilitate, through a strengths-based approach, your therapeutic journey towards enhanced well-being and deeper insight into your thoughts and behaviors (as well as understanding the roots of our cognitive and behavioral patterns). While my therapeutic toolbox encompasses Reiki, EMDR, IFS, and mindfulness techniques, I customize therapy sessions to suit each individual, allowing for flexibility beyond these established frameworks. I'm licensed in CO, TX, MT, OR, ID, WY, WA, and FL.

We all look for empathy, understanding, and connection in our lives and relationships. When moving through the world with a non-dominant identity, it can be difficult to find acceptance, confidence and a sense of belonging. As a biracial Chamoru woman, I have been navigating these struggles throughout my life. I hope to work with others who are looking to cultivate relationships with their core identities, while navigating the challenges related to systems of oppression. My clients often identify as people of color, LGBTQ+, disabled, and/or chronically ill, as well as part of nerd, geek or techie communities. I work best with clients who are looking to build a warm, trusting, and collaborative counseling relationship. Relationships can be powerful and I believe that healing begins with feeling that you are being genuinely heard and cared for. If you think we may be a good fit, I warmly encourage you to reach out! I provide a free consultation appointment where we can get to know each other and assess your needs. Currently, I only offer online counseling to Oregon residents.

What haven't you said? And what might change if you said it? Some things only become known and shift under the right conditions. I'm Andrew, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in Ashland, OR, remote across OR, MD, and NY. I've been a therapist for 15 years. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, relationship snags, troublesome patterns, career and purpose questions, and the more diffuse sense that something is off. I work with students and graduate students sorting out what it means to become themselves while meeting everyone else's expectations, and with medical students and residents under the particular pressures of clinical training. I've also spent years with addiction, trauma, and more acute struggles. My training is psychoanalytic, but in practice I'm more interested in you than in applying any of it to you. I'm not here to fit you into a framework or hand you formulas for how to be. Together we explore what matters, what repeats, what gets avoided, what happens between us. You come to know what's best. That stays with you anywhere. The first conversation is a brief phone call, fifteen or twenty minutes, to talk about what brought you in and whether we're a fit. Not sure if therapy is for you? That's a fine place to start. Reach out.

My clinical approach is multi-disciplinary and rooted in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and humanistic psychology. I also have a background in integrative health and wellness, which can contribute to a more in-depth perspective on treatment. In addition, my work is relational and informed by the belief and the research that the essence of therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. It is this relationship that can encourage true and thorough transformation. My style is genuine, collaborative, interpersonal, direct, and non-judgemental, and I encourage clients to be true to themselves and transparent. Although treatment is based on an individual's needs and goals, primary objectives in treatment are to help clients (re)connect to their confidence and curiosity and to reinforce their capacity and resiliency.

My passion is to help adults of all ages to move past the challenges of life that brings them to therapy. Maybe you’ve tried everything you know and still can’t resolve current or past issues. As a trauma informed therapist and LCSW since 1996, I can help. I use a relational approach to helping clients explore their challenges and their strengths in a supportive and non-judgmental space where we work together to reach their goals. Whether it is anxiety, adjusting to recent changes or other issues to bring you to seek help, we can work it out together.

It feels like no matter how hard you try, somehow you always end up right back where you started. Plagued by nagging self-doubts that say you aren’t good enough, strong enough, or smart enough, you wonder how anyone could really love you. Fearful that if other people knew the “real” you, they’d turn away. Bending and contorting yourself to be what others think you should be, you end up feeling anxious or depressed most of the time. And then there are those experiences that you don’t talk about. The shame and guilt are too much. Every day feels harder than the last with no end in sight. You don’t have to live that way anymore. I will teach you the skills to identify the thoughts and beliefs that are getting in your way, the steps to change them, and a new way to see yourself and your experiences. I won’t lie, this is hard work. But it will be so much easier than staying stuck. You can do this and I will be by your side supporting you. Now is the time to step into a new chapter in your life. Experience an inner voice that is encouraging and hopeful. Hold yourself with compassion and care. Embrace your authentic self. Feel free, hopeful and happy. Call me today to set up your free consultation. Welcoming diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations and gender identities.

My clients are dedicated athletes grappling with eating disorders or OCD, facing the dual challenges of their mental health and a desire to perform at their peak. They are often overwhelmed by the demands of their sport, which can blur the lines between passion and harmful habits. Their primary goal is to reclaim their lives and their love for their sport, seeking not just recovery, but transformation—an opportunity to realign their beliefs and values towards a healthier, more balanced existence. They crave empowerment, resilience, and the ability to thrive both in their athletic pursuits and personal lives.

I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. My name is Stephanie (Stephanie or Stevie is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 4 years (prior to that, in person). If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, and to help you to experience a present that is not overshadowed or negatively impacted by situations and events from your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, but have treated many others as well. While experience and education are an absolute necessity to do this work, I believe that my lived experience has had a profound impact on both my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and to be a more effective therapist. My ability to connect with clients has only been strengthened by my personal experiences with child sexual abuse, growing up with a parent with serious mental illness, and managing chronic depression since childhood, as well as through supporting loved ones through the complexities of mental illness, suicide, sexual abuse, special needs, chronic illness/pain, estrangement, dissociation, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AD/HD, divorce, parenting, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control. While I am not generally a "glass half full" person, nor do I necessarily believe that things happen for a reason, I do believe that if you're smart, you'll look for something to learn from the pain and from the healing. Doing so has lead me to this work and I want so much to show you what is on the other side of your pain. My background has also provided me with experiences that can be drawn upon when building relationships with clients. I have had the privilege of having known, grown up with, and cared deeply about people from a variety of backgrounds, races, nationalities, gender identities, sexual orientations, etc. In terms of strengths, I am unfailingly authentic, resilient, intelligent, curious, non-judgmental, and (at least in my personal life) hilarious ;) And by the way, all of those strengths? They were not so much developed as they were uncovered…through therapy. :) Please visit my website for blog and feedback from clients: www.of2mindstherapy.com *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. I am currently licensed to treat clients in NJ, CT, OR, and WA Please reach out to see if your insurance is accepted. College can be a time of big transitions, self-discovery, and sometimes, feeling overwhelmed. I work with students navigating life changes, anxiety, motivational issues, perfectionism, the inner critic, self-esteem challenges, and coming into their identity. I also support folks exploring their experiences with neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ identities. At the heart of my practice is a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel truly seen and heard. Together, we’ll explore your inner world and uncover the pathways to healing that feel right for you. If you’re ready to take the next step in your journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

Virtual intensives and process groups in Oregon for people navigating existential overwhelm, relational disconnection, and (re)discovering what actually matters when the world is falling apart. It’s hard to feel connected to yourself and what really matters when the world is on fire. You try to focus on what feels most important to you, but that sometimes feels meaningless or impossible. It is exhausting being on-edge and feeling dissociated from yourself and others all the time! You want to understand yourself more, improve your relationships with others, and experience true meaning and purpose. Most importantly, you just want to feel like you're in control of your life again. As your therapist I combine my training in emotionally focused, interpersonal, and existential-humanistic approaches to support folks navigate issues of identity, existential overwhelm, anxiety and mood disorders, and relational concerns. I create a space where you can explore, navigate, and overcome your distress to feel more authentic in and in control of your life. It turns out living through the apocalypse can be pretty terrifying and overwhelming, but the good news is you do not have to do it alone. I look forward to hearing from folks motivated to explore what is most important to them, and what gets in the way of them pursuing it. I offer virtual individual intensives and group therapy.

I am a life transition therapist. I help adults overcome anxiety and the unknown in order to step into new seasons of life with confidence and hope. Transitions can be exhausting. A breakup, leaving your country or the place you used to live or work, losing your health, starting college or grad school are moments when your inner coping resources could fail. Also, when you lose a loved one, you may feel estranged and angry for a long period, and traumatized too. Finding a safe space to heal and learn new coping strategies can make a difference. Working with me you will learn new tools to navigate into safe emotional shores. I have worked for 16 years treating anxious and depressed mood, trauma, the integration of contents of dreams and nightmares, somatic and relationship issues, themes of personal growth. My approach is psychodynamic and integrative, promoting a body-mind-spirit connection. I do trauma-informed, attachment, body focused, and cognitive behavioral interventions. It has been my privilege to hold the space for those who are in deep emotional pain, witness their wisdom as they make meaning of their suffering until they feel ready to move on. I will be a trustworthy and respectful listener during your healing journey, and we will work together in a cooperative manner. Soy una terapeuta de transiciones de vida. Starting the therapy process is a sign of strength and vulnerability. I believe that we all have the power to create change in our lives by allowing ourselves to see ourselves and be seen by others in our lives. Together, we will explore the origins of your patterns of thinking/behaving/relating as well as the functions that these patterns serve, assess your barriers to change, identify your strengths and resources, and practice new ways of coping in order to help you live a more satisfying life.
