Some of my specialty areas include working with clients who have experienced attachment trauma in their families of origin and have struggled with codependency or self-worth wounds. I frequently work with queer clients and with those who are questioning or exploring meaning and purpose relative to their larger societal or spiritual life, particularly those who find themselves outside the mainstream in their sexuality, beliefs, or social values. I provide assistance with communications, boundary-setting and interpersonal difficulties and focus on depth and narrative work with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy framing, including present-moment and somatic emphasis of emotional experience.
We all have a deep need for connection. This connection is often challenged and disrupted by experiences throughout our lives. This leads us all to experience some level of disconnect. This can lead to anxiety, depression, poor coping skills, substance use, and many other dis-eases. The good news is that we all have the potential to reconnect with our authentic self and heal! My approach to therapy and healing involves reconnection with our true selves, our body, and the present moment through compassionate listening, non-judgement and curiosity. For over 20 years, I have been providing therapy, assessment, and crisis services to our community. I believe in relationship and proven therapies to guide healing, well-being, greater insight, and confidence in your ability to grow and change. Mike Mihalas, LCSW offers individual psychotherapy to adults and teens. He works to promote mental wellness and treat conditions that contribute to unwanted thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationship patterns. In therapy you will find new ways to cope and manage distress, as well as explore what may be happening unconsciously in your psyche. Mike Mihalas has been a practicing therapist since 2011 and received his graduate degree from the University of Southern California's School of Social Work. He is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and completed two years of post-graduate supervised training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Mike Mihalas specializes in long-term psychotherapy and is accepting new clients interested in 2x / week sessions.
Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in health psychology and community mental health. Jonathan believes that everyone deserves to thrive mentally, physically, and socially in ways that are meaningful to themselves. He is trained in several evidence-based psychotherapies and is currently utilizing trauma- and attachment-informed narrative therapy, Lifespan Integration, EMDR for adults and children. Jonathan has experience working with children, adults, older adults, and families. He works with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, attention deficits and hyperactivity, parent-child conflicts, and serious mental illness. Jonathan additionally has a background in clinical research. He began as an undergraduate research assistant for the Director at the University of California at Irvine, School of Medicine, Traumatic Stress Program examining the interplay of PTSD, psychiatric interventions, and brain imaging. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, listening to audiobooks, exploring the nature of the Pacific Northwest and volunteering for the Holocaust Survivor Services.

Carmen specializes in working with adolescents and adults, families and couples. She’s been working with people experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, and many other disorders for over 9 years. Sometimes the effects of these issues and concerns come out in our behavior, work, relationships or maybe everything we do. Our behaviors and actions don't always reflect how we'd like to behave.
