My name is Anrey Wang, and I provide one-on-one existential therapy to highly gifted and twice-exceptional adults in Oregon, via secure video conferencing. I practice with authenticity, discerning attention, and a deep commitment to counseling excellence.
Hi, I’m Kevin. Whether it is your first time to counseling, or your a seasoned veteran, starting the process can be tough. My goal is to make it as easy as possible by building trust together, letting you lead the process, helping you know what to expect, and being warm and candid. I have experience working with people throughout their lifespan. Specifically, I am passionate about supporting young adults in high school and college, men and women struggling with trauma, depression, grief, and anxiety, and folks in the outdoor industry. I employ an eclectic approach based in Existential Counseling, Person Centered Therapy, CBT, DBT, and I have specialized training in EMDR. I hold a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Oregon State University. I have been serving the Central Oregon community since 2014, and I’m excited to expand that support to all of Oregon, virtually. One of my favorite parts of counseling is that we can tailor-make the experience to fit your needs. Whether that's practical tools and takeaways, or having a safe place to talk. Either way, my hope is that you walk away from our sessions feeling heard, empowered, and having a deeper sense of clarity and direction. Please reach out, I'm eager to hear from you
My top goal in therapy is to create a trusted partnership, built on empathy, honest feedback, and adaptive support. I provide a safe space to explore, understand, and work through difficulties. Together we work to expand insight, hone goals, and enact processes that reduce distress and change unwanted patterns. Clinically, I assess wellbeing using Ecological and Biopsychosocial Model perspectives. My work with clients is rooted in Humanistic and Cognitive-Behavioral models, and integrates strategies drawn from other approaches, including ACT, IFS, and MI therapies. However, my approach varies with each person, based on their unique needs, cultural contexts, and current circumstances. I often help clients with concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationships, focus/performance, existence/spirituality, academic/career development, and general well-being. I also frequently provide support for specific concerns, including identity development (cultural/sexual/gender/etc.), processing grief, resolving trauma, and substance use. All of us go through times when we feel overwhelmed or lost, and it's difficult to work through that alone. When looking for a therapist, consider what qualities (e.g., empathy, structure, logic) might help you most at this point. I'm happy to talk with you by phone about what you're looking for, how I work with clients, and any questions you have.

I Specialized an empowering clients to find healing and renewal as you explore dynamics of the past and how they interact with the present. My practice consists of working with adults and adolescents dealing with a variety of issues including, but not limited to, relationship concerns, divorce, parenting issues, childhood abuse, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and trauma. I utilize an integrative, attachment based, trauma informed, emotion-focused, experiential, relational model with an emphasis on mindfulness and self- compassion. I specialize in empowering clients to find healing and renewal by exploring the dynamics of the past and how they influence present thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors.
As a therapist, I believe that we are capable of many things. We have resources within ourselves to move through the difficulties that come with life. I view my approach to therapy as client-centered, strengths-based, intersectional feminist, neurodivergent-affirming, and fat liberationist. As a client-centered therapist, I will focus on your therapeutic goals and the best way to achieve them using your strengths. I view my work as walking beside you on your journey rather than leading the way. As a person with multiple minoritized identities, I do my best to understand and empathize with the experiences of my clients. I also work with many communities that are often marginalized. I consider myself to be sex positive (including sex work) and a fat liberationist. I am also kink-experienced and work with non-monogamous/polyamorous relationships. Clients experience me as warm, encouraging, and supportive. My style in the therapy room is very conversational and inviting. You can expect me to show up congruently and authentically, so you even might catch me laughing or crying with you.
It is important to me that when we meet, you feel like you are connecting with another human being who deeply cares about your emotional world and sincerely wants to understand the challenges you may be facing. Therapy is a space for you to slow down, pause, and reconnect with the strength that already resides within you. I combine my professional knowledge and experience with a genuine desire to create a warm, authentic environment that fosters trust and allows you to explore what matters most. I feel privileged to support you in your healing process, and I am committed to breaking down the traditional hierarchy that can sometimes exist between therapist and client. I have always been fascinated by the human experience—how we interact with others, ourselves, and the world around us. My own personal growth journey and how I have overcome adversity in my life, is a core part of who I am and have become, and it helps me show up for you in a meaningful, empathetic way. I am grateful to witness the growth and resilience of my clients, and I’m particularly passionate about helping those who may be held back by fear or shame. My goal is to support you in confidently stepping into your full potential, believing in yourself, and living authentically. I am also passionate about social justice, including anti-racism, intersectional feminism, LGBTQI rights, body and sex positivity, mindfulness, nature, and radical autonomy. I hold a Master’s in Education in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon and have been a licensed therapist since 2009. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Oregon, I look at the “systems” that influence our lives, whether cultural, familial, or relational, and how they shape the difficulties we experience. In my practice, I work with individuals, couples, and families, helping each person navigate their unique challenges and move towards the life they want to create. I specialize in a wide range of difficulties someone may be facing including pregnancy and postpartum challenges, relationship issues, women survivors, sexuality and personal identity and more. I also specialize in anxiety, stress, self-esteem/self-worth, life changes and transitions and trauma. I am a trauma-informed and trauma-sensitive therapist.

At different times in our lives, we experience hardships that may overwhelm us. These can sometimes be brought on by relationships, careers, family, or health. Or perhaps it is more of a persistent feeling you've grown accustomed to but wish there was a way of changing. The meaning we've made from life's past events serves as a template for how we will process each new experience in the future. My goal is to help facilitate an insight-oriented process of understanding why we feel the way we do and provide a source of strength and a healthy curiosity to lead to a better tomorrow.

It can signal an opportunity to release yourself from distractions and limitations that do not serve your deeply held values. If you want to explore your broken heart or disconnection in a holistic way, I invite you to begin the conversation to discover its deeper purpose. While integrating your core values with a trauma-informed and strength-based approach, I utilize combinations of therapies to best suit your needs including Psychodynamic theory, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. My clinical approach is multi-disciplinary and rooted in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and humanistic psychology. I also have a background in integrative health and wellness, which can contribute to a more in-depth perspective on treatment. In addition, my work is relational and informed by the belief and the research that the essence of therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. It is this relationship that can encourage true and thorough transformation. My style is genuine, collaborative, interpersonal, direct, and non-judgemental, and I encourage clients to be true to themselves and transparent. Although treatment is based on an individual's needs and goals, primary objectives in treatment are to help clients (re)connect to their confidence and curiosity and to reinforce their capacity and resiliency.
