Therapists for college students near Portland State University
Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Sarah Bond. As a holistic psychotherapist and psychologist resident, I specialize in helping individuals heal pain and suffering, reconnect with their true selves, and create more authentic, fulfilling lives.
Are you being challenged by life trials? Do you feel stuck and can't figure out a way out of your situation? Dealing with depression and anxiety? Are you dealing with behavioral issues and mental health of your kiddo? Or dealing with your childhood trauma which triggers you day to day? Having mood swings and anger outbursts? My approach is client-centered, strength based and collaborative problem solving. I teach easy to learn coping skills and activities to boost up self-awareness and self-care in my clients. I believe that the brain can adapt to changes and self-regulate after damage, if you have the right tools and information to deal with it.
I am a Clinical Social Work Associate based in the Eugene area, working with individuals to provide trauma-informed care that supports each person in showing up as their authentic self. My background includes working with clients from diverse backgrounds and in various mental health settings. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage, along with a graduate certification in Children’s Mental Health. My approach focuses on the whole individual, drawing from various evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), expressive arts therapy, and a strengths-based perspective. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and families in school and community mental health settings, specializing in areas such as anxiety, ADHD, self-doubt, depression, grief and loss, and homelessness. Your mental health is my priority, and it is an honor to walk alongside you on this journey.

What is an Authentic Life Path? The question should really be What is YOUR Authentic Life Path? Often in the hustle and bustle of the “real world” we kind of just go with the flow and often lose ourselves. Sometimes it is scary to live our lives authentically. Living authentically means the person you feel you truly are on the inside. I started my career in the IT field, but realized I did not have a passion for it or enjoy it. I wanted to help others. I became a licensed marriage and family therapist, and am now living my authentic life path and want to help you find and live yours. I specialize in working with children, tweens, teens and adults who identify as transgender or genderqueer. I also specialize in the LGBTQIAA+ community. I work with all religions and spiritualities and all types of families no matter what the unique makeup. I provide a safe, supportive environment for you to explore yourself and grow into your most authentic self and find the path that is right for you. Give me a call or email if you have any questions.
A solution-focused and strength-based integration of different therapeutic methods based on individual needs. Respectful, accepting, and welcoming of all ages, gender identities, presentations, sexual orientations, races, and belief systems.

Working with college ages and young adults is one of my favorite parts of practicing. Over the years I’ve helped students through applying to different colleges and universities, choosing the best school, choosing a major, to preparing for graduation. College can be stressful and I encourage clients to create a balance with academics and recreational activities to protect against burnout and feeling overwhelmed. Living independently for the first time is a big transition and sometimes it’s helpful to have extra support as you navigate this new phase of life.

I specialize in working with women who are dealing with reproductive concerns (such as Pmdd, pregnancy, and postpartum). I also support queer/ trans students and students who are minorities with the adjustment to life in college. I am able to prescribe medication but do not generally prescribe controlled substances.
My practice model is all about helping clients explore themselves and their place in the world. As a licensed psychologist with experience working in a variety of care settings, I have expertise in treating depression, anxiety, lifestyle stress, trauma, addiction, and spiritual/existential distress. My therapy takes a nonjudgmental, compassion oriented focus. Through guiding my clients to approach themselves in more open and honest ways, I help them uncover their core needs so that they may lead lives that feel vibrant and fulfilling. I view health as a balance between mind, body, spirit, and environment. As such, my therapy style is holistic. I regularly guide my clients in mindfulness-based practices and offer an approach that blends Internal Family Systems therapy with somatic work and cognitive-behavioral exploration. In a culture where consciousness altering drug use is on the rise, I also work with clients to gain optimal wellness following challenging, disorienting, or invigorating psychedelic experiences. My passion for the Enneagram heavily informs my therapeutic lens, and I happily teach this tool to clients interested in evolving their understanding of self. I work to bolster my clients’ strengths while developing new skills and fresh insights. With sensitivity to the health impact of both personal and cultural forces, I strive to create a safe, welcoming space for my clients to explore all facets of their identities.
Hi! I fundamentally believe you are whole, unbroken and perfect, and I also imagine you might not believe that about yourself sometimes. I work with students experiencing a wide range of challenges including: depression, anxiety, trauma, insomnia and the struggle to love the body one lives in. I use the tools of yoga, embodiment, mindfulness, meditation, and nervous system support to approach healing and integration. As a mental health therapist, certified yoga therapist and ketamine-assisted therapist I work from trauma-sensitive, consent-based and liberatory approaches, and I am committed to you experiencing agency, empowerment and freedom.
I feel incredibly privileged to have the opportunity to work with individuals, couples and families during times of increased stress and transition. My approach is strengths-based, direct, and tailored to meet the needs of each client. By creating an atmosphere of respect and safety, I encourage my clients to explore and make sense out of the challenges they are facing and assist them in creating a clear path to improvement. Everyone comes to therapy with different experiences, needs, and objectives. It is my goal to establish a therapeutic relationship that both challenges and encourages my clients to meet their goals in therapy, and in life.

You may be seeking help on your own—to process past experiences and beliefs, strengthen your support system, or gain support in accessing affirming healthcare. You may be seeking help with family—longing for acceptance from family members, or needing guidance with discussing sexual health with your children. You may be seeking help with your relationship—wanting to deepen intimacy, unpack inequity impacting your relationship, explore shared sexuality, or establish clear boundaries. My mission is to support your relationship with your sexuality. You have a right to your sexuality — it’s part of your nature.
I specialize in assessing and treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD and Level 1 Autism. My approach recognizes how traumatic experiences deeply affect mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. In therapy, we will explore the powerful connection between mind and body, working together to regain control over your life and build a more adaptive understanding of past experiences. My therapeutic interventions focus on developing resilience, strengthening self-confidence, managing symptoms effectively, and fostering new neural pathways that support more positive, meaningful experiences.
I value authenticity, empathy, and self-awareness, both for myself and my clients, and as a critical part of the therapeutic process (I also take advantage of the healing power of laughter whenever possible!). I aim to normalize and validate my clients’ experiences without judgment, and above all, provide the most basic of human needs: to feel seen and heard. My name is Stephanie (Stephanie or Stevie is fine) and I have been providing therapy in NJ exclusively via telehealth for about the last 4 years (prior to that, in person). If you have been struggling with symptoms of depression or anxiety, particularly if they are related to a traumatic experience, I would love the opportunity to work with you to reduce your mood- or anxiety-related symptoms, and to help you to experience a present that is not overshadowed or negatively impacted by situations and events from your past. I love working with women ages 20 to 30-something who are still in academia or just starting out in their careers, but also love working with women of any age. I frequently work with survivors of child sexual abuse, as well as those struggling with issues related to self-esteem/self-worth, but have treated many others as well. While experience and education are an absolute necessity to do this work, I believe that my lived experience has had a profound impact on both my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships and to be a more effective therapist. My ability to connect with clients has only been strengthened by my personal experiences with child sexual abuse, growing up with a parent with serious mental illness, and managing chronic depression since childhood, as well as through supporting loved ones through the complexities of mental illness, suicide, sexual abuse, special needs, chronic illness/pain, estrangement, dissociation, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, AD/HD, divorce, parenting, emotional and financial abuse, and coercive control. While I am not generally a "glass half full" person, nor do I necessarily believe that things happen for a reason, I do believe that if you're smart, you'll look for something to learn from the pain and from the healing. Doing so has lead me to this work and I want so much to show you what is on the other side of your pain. My background has also provided me with experiences that can be drawn upon when building relationships with clients. I have had the privilege of having known, grown up with, and cared deeply about people from a variety of backgrounds, races, nationalities, gender identities, sexual orientations, etc. In terms of strengths, I am unfailingly authentic, resilient, intelligent, curious, non-judgmental, and (at least in my personal life) hilarious ;) And by the way, all of those strengths? They were not so much developed as they were uncovered…through therapy. :) Please visit my website for blog and feedback from clients: www.of2mindstherapy.com *My practice is focused primarily on treating adults who identify as female as well as being a welcoming space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I do not currently treat cisgender heterosexual males, children or adolescents. I am currently licensed to treat clients in NJ, CT, OR, and WA Please reach out to see if your insurance is accepted. Constant low-spoon days, chronic fatigue, a sense of impending doom, or questions around identity may be what brought you here today. You’ve been doing the best you can, but something isn’t working anymore. You don’t have to keep carrying it alone. I’m Kailey, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Art therapist. I specialize in working with chronic illness, LGBTQIA+ clients, and trauma. I help people using a blend of art therapy and DBT-informed skills. Through guided creative work, we slow things down, make emotions and patterns easier to work with, and build tools for regulation, without relying on the “right” words. The process is intentional, supportive, and paced with care. You don’t need to be artistic or know exactly what to say to start. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced with care, focused on creating a space that feels contained and supportive rather than overwhelming. If you’re looking for a creative, structured approach to therapy that meets you where you are, I invite you to reach out.
Greetings, I am so glad you found my practice. Please check out my website for more details about my approach and services.
