We offer child, adolescent, adult, and family counseling services through a trauma informed model. Our therapists have advanced training in expressive arts therapies.Clinical supervision is available for those working towards licenisng. We support supervision for licensed professional counselors (LPC), licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT), licensed clinical social workers (LCSW) and those seeking credentialing as a registered play therapist (RPT). Firefly offers continuing education workshops and certification programs for mental health and allied service professionals. New Pattern Counseling is an inter-disciplinary counseling team supporting long term sobriety and trauma healing for individuals, couples, youth, and families. We specialize in the intersection between substance use, sex addiction, betrayal trauma, other trauma, and attachment distress. We promote healing and recovery through cultivating a sober way of life that heals and transforms a person's relationships to their body, to primary partners, children, peers, community, and seeks resilience through meaningful spiritual practices.
Our practice offers specialized, culturally responsive mental health services tailored to Latinx and immigrant communities, with a strong emphasis on serving Spanish-speaking clients. In addition to training at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Portland, she completed certified training in EMDR & is a non-denominational Reverend with an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree from the Universal Life Church. I consider myself to be a body inclusive therapist who specializes in helping clients recover from disordered eating behaviors, weight stigma, body image concerns and impacts from diet culture. During a therapy session, I am an active participant in the process, bringing genuine presence, empathy, and validation. As my client, I view you as the expert of your own experience. My role is collaborator in the therapy process, listening for themes and patterns, asking questions to encourage self-exploration, and (with curiosity, respect, and perhaps some humor) challenging unhelpful or "stuck" patterns.
