Welcome, glad you're here! Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile. Creating a trusting environment for you is paramount. I am passionate about helping people feel safe, validated, and heard. This is a collaborative experience where we'll work together to examine relationships and communication, increase self-compassion and emotional regulation, and develop insights into your beliefs and behaviors. We can also discuss how nutrition and gut health play an integral, fundamental role in achieving comprehensive wellness. I want to help you feel empowered, live your most satisfying life, and be the best version of yourself. I believe such comprehensive wellness requires a holistic approach that includes exploring our emotional, physical, and energetic selves so we may better appreciate the interdependence of our internal systems. Since therapy is a unique, interactive process, I use several approaches including Psychodynamic, Polyvagal Informed Therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and life experiences to deepen the work. When we have understanding, compassion, and context, we begin to release negative feelings and can start to forge ahead creating different pathways and skills to handle life. After shedding light on what brings us shame, it loses its hold over us. As Brene Brown offers, “when we deny the story, it defines us. When we own the story we can write a brave new ending.” While there are uncomfortable feelings that arise in therapy, there is also laughter, connection, insight, compassion, and relief. In addition to discussing how you want to improve your life, we also talk about what is going well for you and what positive things you are doing that help you have meaningful relationships and make successful decisions. Most often the therapeutic relationship is the vehicle through which deep healing and lasting change occur. I invite you to notice, honor, and “welcome all of your parts” with compassionate curiosity. Together, we look at the past to inform the present and work towards a brighter future. .
We are a group therapy practice offering in-person and virtual sessions to young adults and adolescents in the Hudson Valley. We treat different issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, LGTBQ+ issues, and life transition issues.
Life can be challenging at times and cause us to feel stuck, unhappy, and overwhelmed. We sometimes may feel confused and discouraged on how to improve our lives. In the midst of these difficult periods, we may benefit from having a supportive space to explore what makes us unhappy, challenge ourselves, gain insight, learn new skills, and explore new ways of being. I am happy to meet with you to figure out if I can be the person who can support you in this journey. I follow an integrative, relational, psychodynamic approach, incorporating cognitive-behavioral, systemic, multicultural/feminist, and experiential concepts. I strive to provide a safe, respectful, and empowering space to my clients to help them overcome their barriers to experience life in more fulfilling ways. I am certified in treatment of complex trauma. Please feel free to reach out to me for the opportunity to chat on the phone for 10-15 minutes before we meet to determine if we are a good match.
College is a time of real growth — and real pressure. For many students, it's also when questions about identity, mental health, and how they move through the world come into sharper focus. I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, identity exploration, trauma history, or the particular exhaustion that comes with being neurodivergent in demanding academic environments. Many of the young adults I work with are autistic, ADHD, or both — and are often doing so without the scaffolding that got them through high school. Others are transgender or gender-diverse, and are figuring out who they are while managing minority stress, family dynamics, and systems that don't always make things easy. My approach is relational and collaborative. I don't follow a rigid protocol — I draw from ACT, DBT, and CBT, and I tailor what we do to who you are and what you actually need. Sessions are a place to build insight, develop real skills, and figure out how to live more fully as yourself. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with advanced training in gender-diverse care, trauma, and neurodevelopment. Before opening my practice, I spent two years at Yale's Pediatric Gender Program and completed my doctoral internship at Yale School of Medicine. I keep my caseload focused so I can do this work with the depth it deserves. Sessions are available via telehealth across Connecticut and New York, and in person in Southington, CT — which may be convenient for students at nearby colleges and universities. I also see adolescents and teens, so referrals for younger clients are welcome. I'm happy to connect with counseling center staff to discuss fit, coordination of care, or consultation. The best way to reach me is through my website or by phone.
I’ve worked with many students of diverse backgrounds and who need support with their mental health needs. Students say that they enjoy working with me to resolve stressors and find strategies to improve anxiety and depression, ADHD, stress management and many other issues.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of addiction and trauma. Much of my work has included working with adolescents, adults and families who are challenged by anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. In addition, I have experience working with the LGTBQ community, life coaching, and eating disorders. Believing you are the expert in your life my hope is to act as a beacon of light on a path that sometimes goes dark. My success in treating clients stems from my approach which is straight forward and solution-focused to help clients move forward rather than staying stuck in their challenge areas. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with five years of experience, my work centers on helping adults navigate anxiety, relationship dynamics, and complex trauma so they can break old cycles, establish healthy boundaries, and reclaim control of their lives. While I have a particular passion for supporting BIPOC individuals and communities, I welcome and celebrate patients of all backgrounds. Anxiety and the weight of difficult relationships can make it hard to see a way forward. Together, we'll work to change that. I believe in the power of collaboration, allowing me to be your active, supportive partner in this process to help you cultivate a stronger sense of peace, self-awareness, and confidence in the life you want to build. Tailoring therapy to the unique individual rather than fitting anyone into a rigid structure is something I feel strongly about, because your healing should reflect who you are, not a one-size-fits-all model. That’s why my approach is eclectic, collaborative, and person-centered from the very beginning. You can always expect a warm, empathetic, and genuinely supportive environment in our sessions. Using humanistic and integrative methods, I work to ensure you feel deeply heard and empowered to make lasting changes. Your unique presenting concerns shape how we work together, and I adapt my style with that in mind every step of the way. Every person who walks through my door deserves a space that feels safe and welcoming, a place to pause, reflect, and explore your thoughts and emotions as you navigate life's ups and downs. Having personally navigated anxiety and depression, I understand in a real and meaningful way what it takes to find balance, resilience, and healing. This lived experience fuels the depth of care and compassion I bring to every session. My Jamaican background further enriches the care I offer, allowing me to connect with Caribbean patients and others from diverse cultural backgrounds in ways that are sensitive, affirming, and grounded in an understanding of your unique story. Movement and nourishment are big parts of how I stay grounded. Whether I'm at Pilates, the gym, discovering a new restaurant, or planning the next trip on my list, I'm most at home when I'm exploring and savoring what life has to offer.
I understand the decision to begin therapy can be challenging. If you are feeling "stuck," please know that you are not alone and we can navigate this hard time together. Individuals, couples, or families who choose to engage in therapy, will ultimately be choosing a very effective way of facilitating change for themselves and their important relationships. By working together, I have confidence that we can collaborate to create new experiences, beginnings, and perspectives. My style is warm, compassionate, and empathetic while also using my sense of humor when appropriate. In a non-judgmental and safe environment, we will collaborate to ensure that our work together is meaningful and goal-oriented, suited to fit your needs. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone." It's time to start living the life that is calling you.
