Substances have a way of putting us on a merry-go-round that will not stop. Substances help us regulate our mood, push out the uncomfortable, keep us walled off from our surroundings. Something happens in life, and we "want to stop", but do not know how to stop. And, we use again. If you are struggling with substances, unhappy with your life, tired of chasing the next high, ask for help. You can text or call me. Maybe it is time for you to rethink your relationship to substances.

With more than a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I support adults 18 and older as they navigate some of life's most complex and personal challenges. My areas of expertise include ADHD, complex PTSD and trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use, grief and loss, and life transitions. For those navigating relational difficulties, I also offer couples counseling, family therapy, and group counseling to help strengthen the connections that matter most. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing begins within a safe, authentic, and supportive therapeutic relationship, one where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal process, and I encourage you to trust yourself in choosing the path that feels like the best fit. I take a holistic and collaborative approach to care, one that is always tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from psychoanalytic, person-centered, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives, I integrate evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, somatic work, trauma-informed care, and attachment-based interventions. For those in couples or family therapy, this foundation helps strengthen communication, deepen connection, and create lasting change in your relationships. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to help you connect with your inner guidance, develop tools for growth, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. My path to becoming a therapist is a personal one. At 18, I knew something was wrong and reached out for help, scared and unsure of what to expect. What I found changed everything. My first therapist left a lasting impression on my life, and her impact planted the seed for the work I do today. That experience shaped not only my decision to become a therapist, but the kind of therapist I strive to be: someone who meets you with the care and presence that truly makes a difference. Outside of sessions, you'll often find me lost in a good book, working on a piece of writing, or hiking with my group through whatever trail is next on the list. I never pass up a chance to get to the beach, and live music holds a special place in my heart. Above all, I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends, and being a mom is one of my greatest joys.

At times the stressors in life can be crushing and prevent us from achieving our goals, or even forming goals. Each person defines stress in unique terms that can produce anxiety; related to striving for perfection, or feeling alone, or persistent unhappiness with our appearance, or fearful, or overwhelmed by responsibilities. Sometimes one specific event can alter our lives forever; the loss of a loved one, sexual assault/abuse and rape, becoming the victim of violence and witnessing violence. My practice is centered on the belief that difficulties in our lives can be mended and lead to stronger well-being. I support young people to manage stressors by building a safe therapeutic relationship to do the hard work of alleviating hurt and changing the way we manage the barriers to success.

You are really tired. If you’re being honest, your head is spinning & you’re anxious all the time. It’s keeping you from being able to rest, let alone enjoy life. Your thoughts are moving so fast, that it’s hard to stay focused. Now you’re starting to have headaches, racing heart, & tightness in your chest. You’re not sure what to do about it. All you know is that you don’t feel your best & feel that you’ve been letting people down. You feel disappointed in yourself & wonder what is going on with you. Usually things go according to plan and right now that is definitely not happening. It’s starting to become too much. You are really tired. Hello! I'm a senior clinician (NY, CT and PSYPACT states) who specializes in working with young adults and their parents using evidence-based methods. I use DBT to help people stick to their intentions and goals, rather than feeling controlled by their moods. I draw from DBT and CBT to help patients, parents, and couples improve relationships and face fears. In addition to DBT, I employ specialized CBT treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP) to target OCD, Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), DBT-PE, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, and exposure for phobias. I have special interests in treating sleep and circadian rhythm problems and climate anxiety. Most people benefit from identifying their goals and concrete steps to achieve them. I want to help you picture your life worth living and to systematically work towards feeling content. Please don't hesitate to reach out to see if I'm a good fit for your needs!

Do you feel like you’re stuck in a loop of thoughts and actions that are hard to stop? Life can feel overwhelming when your mind won’t stop racing or when anxious thoughts and doubts take over. As a therapist with over 18 years of experience, I specialize in working with adults who feel stuck in cycles of worry, fear, or perfectionism. If you’re struggling with anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), or self-confidence issues, I’m here to help you find clarity, calm, and greater confidence. We'll work together to gain tools to relieve stress, develop personalized self-care practices that fit into your busy schedule, build trust in yourself, and feel less anxious and more in control of your life. I use Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), an approach designed to help you better understand and change the thinking patterns that contribute to OCD. Our sessions can help you replace that inner critic with a kinder, more self-compassionate voice that recognizes your worth beyond achievements. I provide a warm and compassionate space where we’ll work together to understand your experiences and tackle challenges. If you’re ready to leave overwhelm behind and embrace a more balanced, fulfilling life, I’d love to help. Contact me today to schedule a free phone consultation. I look forward to walking this journey with you!

I want to be your partner in holistic Wellness. When we break a bone or become sick, we seek medical treatment. That the same care and attention should be given to our mental health. I believe that therapy is not just about addressing mental health issues—it's about nurturing the whole self, mind, body, and spirit. Therapy also looks different for everyone because our lives are shaped by our experiences, emotions, and somatic responses to everyday life. As your therapist, I will guide you with authenticity and warmth, helping you navigate your unique therapeutic journey.

The ordinary acts of speaking and listening, in the extraordinary context of the psychoanalytic setting, make it possible to discover oneself anew, or perhaps for the very first time. I work with adolescents and adults to explore difficulties in the areas of sexuality, creativity, relationships, work, and play. I aim to create an environment in which you can say anything, paying careful attention to whatever obstacles may stand in the way of speaking freely. My approach is to accompany you through a process whereby something new might happen. -- In addition to my clinical practice, I am a scholar of psychoanalytic theory and history. I hold a PhD in Literature with specializations in feminist and queer theory, cultural studies, and global modernisms.
