The ordinary acts of speaking and listening, in the extraordinary context of the psychoanalytic setting, make it possible to discover oneself anew, or perhaps for the very first time. I work with adolescents and adults to explore difficulties in the areas of sexuality, creativity, relationships, work, and play. I aim to create an environment in which you can say anything, paying careful attention to whatever obstacles may stand in the way of speaking freely. My approach is to accompany you through a process whereby something new might happen. -- In addition to my clinical practice, I am a scholar of psychoanalytic theory and history. I hold a PhD in Literature with specializations in feminist and queer theory, cultural studies, and global modernisms.
Hi, I'm Sean. I'm passionate about helping clients overcome struggles related to anxiety, OCD, life transitions, and identity development. In therapy, we will work collaboratively to identify your goals and create a plan to develop strategies to manage life challenges. In doing so, my goal is to create opportunities for you to come to know yourself more fully, to provide tools for you to connect with others more deeply, and to empower you to live a life more in line with your personal values. I am trained in providing CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention), and Psychodynamic Therapy. I often work using an integrated approach that emphasizes treating the whole person and incorporate elements of multiple modalities to meet your individual needs and goals. Change can be both terrifying and extremely powerful. I value meeting new clients where they are at in their journey, and working as a team to accomplish important goals. To book a phone screen and get started, I invite you to reach out!
Hello! I'm a senior clinician (NY, CT and PSYPACT states) who specializes in working with young adults and their parents using evidence-based methods. I use DBT to help people stick to their intentions and goals, rather than feeling controlled by their moods. I draw from DBT and CBT to help patients, parents, and couples improve relationships and face fears. In addition to DBT, I employ specialized CBT treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP) to target OCD, Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), DBT-PE, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma, and exposure for phobias. I have special interests in treating sleep and circadian rhythm problems and climate anxiety. Most people benefit from identifying their goals and concrete steps to achieve them. I want to help you picture your life worth living and to systematically work towards feeling content. Please don't hesitate to reach out to see if I'm a good fit for your needs!

Each person has a unique experience and healing requires an individualized plan. Healing occurs through a combination of multiple different sources. Therapy can be one tool that can aid in growth that can alleviate suffering. Therapy can be both challenging and rewarding. I believe that a critical component of therapy is a trusting relationship with compassion, feeling heard and seen. Working with someone who you trust to hear your experience and challenge you in positive ways. Goooooood day to you, person seeking a therapist! I'm Karina Le, a licensed masters social worker who uses they/them pronouns. I'm a therapist who is passionate about walking alongside clients as they discover (or rediscover) their voice, reclaim their space, and reimagine what it means to live authentically. With a clinical foundation rooted in trauma-informed care, I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, people of color, and those navigating complex family dynamics or cultural transitions. I earned my Masters of Social Work from Nazareth and hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Rochester Institute of Technology. My clinical experience spans individual and group therapy over the past few years, including inpatient adolescent mental health care and work focused on CBT, DBT, identity development, and support for BIPOC students. I also have experiencing in case management during a time spent shadowing case managers in community mental health settings. What really grounds my work is a deep understanding of what it means to perform for others at the expense of self, and the transformative power of therapy to unlearn those patterns. I'm especially passionate about working with clients in transition: young adults entering new chapters, adults shifting paths, and anyone beginning to ask, “Who am I, really?” My approach is curious, nonjudgmental, and always rooted in the belief that therapy can be a radical act of self-love. A riverbend symbolizes a new direction and the future that is waiting to be discovered. When struggling with emotional distress like anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, or more it can be extremely difficult to see the positives that could appear ahead. Like a riverbend, counseling can be the new direction towards peace and calm, and a step towards a brighter future. I am an LCSW with experience in the field of mental health and addiction. I strongly believe in utilizing a holistic and person-centered approach to help empower individuals to reach the goals that are most important to them. If you are entering a new phase of life, have been struggling with your mental health, or are a parent who has been impacted by a loved one’s substance use, please feel free to reach out to schedule a free consultation, and know that you are not alone in this journey.

I work to give my clients an open and safe space to talk about whatever it is that has you reaching out for help. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+, ADHD and trauma. One of the most important things is that we work together to figure out the best treatment for you. I want you to leave our sessions feeling heard and understood.
My approach to therapy is focused on developing genuine relationships that are collaborative and empathic, so clients can feel safe, understood, and supported in sessions. I’m committed to exploring and affirming each client's individuality and intersecting identities, and to supporting individuals in the LGBTQ+ and CNM communities, college students, and professors. I work with adults focused on issues related to social anxiety, ADHD, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship/communication dynamics, and climate anxiety. Sessions are based on a foundation of relational warmth and safety to build a sense of connection, empowerment, deeper insight, and personal resiliency. I primarily draw from person-centered, feminist, trauma-informed, narrative, and IFS approaches, but there is not one specific kind of therapy that works well for everyone. We all have unique strengths and perspectives. Sessions focus on identifying ways to create sustainable positive changes given each client's particular context and lived experience.
School can be some of the most rewarding years of your life but they can also be overwhelming. Between classes, internships, work, relationships, family expectations, finances, and figuring out who you are and where you're headed, sometimes it's good to have some extra support. Therapy gives you a place to talk openly about what's going on, without judgment. Whether you're feeling anxious, stressed, burned out, stuck, lonely, or simply trying to make sense of a major life transition, you don't have to navigate it alone. I work with college and graduate students on concerns such as anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, identity exploration, gender identity, academic stress, life transitions, binge eating, and body image. Many of my clients are also learning how to manage life on their own for the first time and are discovering that no one ever really taught them how to handle the emotional side of money. As a Certified Financial Social Worker, I can help you develop a healthier relationship with money, spending, debt, budgeting, and financial decision-making. Together, we can explore both the practical and emotional aspects of financial wellness so you feel more confident and in control. My style is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth. I'll meet you where you are, help you build on your strengths, and offer practical tools along the way. If you're curious about working together, I'd be happy to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit.
I come to the practice of counseling after many years working in student services in a university setting. I find (as the research continues to show) that the most important element of effective counseling is the connection between client and counselor—we will work collaboratively. I draw on many approaches including but not limited to client-centered, mindfulness, existential therapy, attachment theory, Buddhist psychology, solution-focused, trauma-informed, grief work, and internal parts work. I am in network with Aetna insurance and UHC/Optum and I also take direct pay (sliding scale is $170 to $120). I am seeing clients mostly through a HIPAA compliant video platform. Currently (Spring 2026), I do have a small number of openings for new clients. I am licensed to practice in New York, Connecticut, Maine, New Mexico, and registered for on line counseling in Florida and South Carolina.
Welcome! Taking the first steps towards finding a therapist you "click" with can be intimidating (and exhausting) so I give you tons of credit for getting this far. I feel honored to work with my clients because I know how hard it can be to open up about personal things. I believe in the healing power of a strong therapeutic relationship, a relationship where you feel truly "seen" and understood. I like to think of a therapist's role as a supportive, steady companion who walks next to you on your path. While I certainly do not have all the answers, I do have plenty of skills and experience that might be helpful along the way. Part of what I love about being a therapist is hearing people's rich stories of not only heartache and struggle, but resilience and healing. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to talk about those deeply personal experiences. If it sounds like we might "click", feel free to reach out to schedule an intro call. I look forward to it!
