For couples, I specialize in the pursuit of client-identified goals through effective communication, conflict resolution, and applicable skill building. I work with all consensual couples, whether they choose to grow, maintain, or end their relationship, regardless of monogamy status, sexuality, and sexual activity preferences. I am an experienced psychologist who works well with undergraduate and graduate students. Together we can create a road map for how you would want to more fully live your live. I can help with anxiety, mood, self-esteem and attentional issues. I am particularly interested in working with students who are first generation college students and/or students who are from diverse backgrounds. I have years of experience at various clinical settings. Other than my outpatient therapy work, I have an extensive experience providing wraparound service for families with children who have severe emotional and behavioral needs. I have worked for Elder Protective Services with elders who are neglected and abused. I have also provided psychiatric evaluation at emergency services and home-based family stabilization work for families with children who are in psychiatric crisis. I am flexible in using different therapeutic approaches to meet my clients' needs and styles. My work is relationally based, and I additionally integrate the approaches of Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which are both mind/body modalities. These approaches have been transformational for myself and many clients I have witnessed because they offer an orientation of radical openness and compassionate inquiry about all parts of your experience.
I provide identity-affirming therapy to adults with intersecting marginalized identities, including (but not limited to!) folks who are queer, trans, neurodivergent, disabled, kinky, non-monogamous, as well as other marginalized identities. I also enjoy working with those who previously had poor experiences with therapy, first time therapy clients, young adults, and those who feel “different.”
