Hi! I’m Mixi, a bilingual licensed therapist. I understand the impact intrusive thoughts, constant worry and repetitive behaviors have on your well-being and daily life. I have had the opportunity to provide care in private practice, school, and medical settings. This array of experiences has fostered my ability to understand clients through a multi-disciplinary lens. My clinical approach to therapy is grounded in ERP, PE, ACT and CBT. Most of the clients that I work with are navigating OCD, anxiety, trauma, stress, and/or depression. I am a trained OCD specialist and a member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). I am dedicated to welcoming adults of all identities. I prioritize learning about my clients to create an inclusive environment that best supports them. My goal is to teach you the skills and tools to make you your own therapist over time. I am licensed to provide Telehealth therapy services to clients in Massachusetts, Washington, Illinois, District of Columbia, and Virginia. You’re tired of questioning yourself and feeling “not enough.” Painful experiences in your past colored your inner world gray... Lingering wounds like childhood trauma, narcissistic partners, and betrayal trauma impact how you see yourself and interact with others. You want to break free from being a perfectionist, people-pleaser, or high achiever compensating for internalized self-blame, shame, or inadequacy. Using a blend of brainspotting & psychoanalysis, we can tap into the connection between your body, brain, and psyche to work through stuck points in your inner world, as well as your social, cultural, and familial landscapes. Brainspotting is an alternative to talk therapy that could bypass the limitations of language and access the brain's subcortical regions involved in emotional processing, memory formation, and instinctive reactions. By focusing on points in the visual field, or "brainspots," we can tap into unresolved trauma and emotions stored in the subcortical brain. My goal is to help you process old pain, gain insight into its origins and how it shaped you, reframe limiting narratives from childhood, and integrate fragmented pieces of you into a cohesive sense of self. I am a licensed clinical social worker and yoga instructor. I take an holistic, integrative approach to mental health treatment assisting my clients in building healthy lifestyles that provide proactive protection, maintenance, and or obtainment of optimal mental health and wellness. A holistic approach means that we will explore how mindful awareness, relationships, meaningful academic/career pursuits, sleep, nutrition, rest and relaxation, environment, conventional and complementary medical care, finances, and spirituality, are impacting your mental health and wellbeing. I assist my clients in getting to the root causes of their inability to make and sustain healthy lifestyle practices. This often includes supporting my clients in identifying core beliefs and societal pressures that influence their unhealthy, limiting, and ineffective behaviors. With this increased awareness, I support my clients in courageously aligning their actions with their personal passions, desires, and values.
I am a licensed clinical social work with a wealth of experience working with adolescence, adults, and families. I strive to assist my clients in embracing change, empowering themselves, and healing while navigating through life stressors.

Many students I work with seem to be “doing fine” on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, or emotionally drained inside. They may overthink constantly, put intense pressure on themselves to succeed, carry family expectations, or try to move forward while still feeling the weight of painful past experiences. Some feel responsible for everyone else’s needs. Others are tired of always being the strong one. Many feel alone with emotions that seem bigger than they expected. If you notice you shut down when things get intense, struggle to set boundaries, or feel stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, there’s usually a reason for that. In therapy, we don’t just manage symptoms. We figure out what’s driving them. My goal is for you to feel more grounded, more confident, and more secure in yourself, not just getting through college, but actually feeling better.
Grief can make us feel lost and confused, but we can feel better. People typically think grief and loss are solely about losing a loved one. But we endure ambiguous losses more often than acknowledged. It can occur through experiences such as depression, anxiety, a relationship break-up, pandemics, or other life events. Although the emotions might seem to be everlasting, healing is achievable. I believe everyone needs support from others at some point in their lives. That does not mean they are weak or incompetent. It just means the situation might be harder to manage independently. That makes us all human. For over 20 years, I have worked with diverse populations addressing various mental and behavioral health needs. I want to help you learn strategies to address unhealthy thought patterns so that you can have more control over your overall well-being. I believe therapy is a partnership. Together, we can work towards achieving your desired goals.
College can be an exciting time—but it can also feel overwhelming. Between classes, relationships, and planning for the future, it’s easy to feel anxious, lonely, or unsure of yourself. If you’ve been struggling with stress, depression, or relationship challenges—or if you’re just feeling stuck and want things to be different—I can help. Many students come to therapy when they’re navigating big changes: adjusting to college life, dealing with breakups or family conflict, grieving a loss, or trying to manage perfectionism and pressure to succeed. Together, we can explore the patterns that keep you feeling anxious, unmotivated, or dissatisfied—and help you build new ways of understanding yourself and relating to others. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I help students tap into their strengths, learn healthy ways to cope with uncertainty, and create more authentic, fulfilling relationships. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but it’s really an act of self-care and courage. It’s a space to be heard without judgment—and to begin making meaningful changes in your life. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, confident, and connected, reach out today to schedule a session.
Hello and welcome! Whether you’re stepping into parenthood, navigating relationship changes, or simply trying to find your footing again, it’s natural to feel unsteady along the way. I specialize in mental health support during life transitions with clients who are navigating stress, identity shifts, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients describe themselves as highly sensitive or as people who put others first. If that sounds like you—constantly giving, saying “yes” when you’d rather say “no,” or feeling guilty for needing care yourself—you’re not alone. Our work together will focus on quieting self-doubt, strengthening your confidence, and helping you feel like you again. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. We keep our work grounded and conversational, with space for both depth and laughter—because humor heals too. Reaching out takes courage, and even nurturers deserve care, compassion, and grace in a world not built for us. I look forward to working together!
