Welcome! Many women in college come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or unsure, often caught in patterns they’re ready to change. You might be navigating college adjustments, emotional stress, social or relationship challenges, trauma or loss, attachment patterns, self-discovery, spirituality, self-esteem or belonging, women’s issues, or major life transitions. Life brings both pain and beauty, and reaching out for support takes courage. My work offers a warm, holistic, and collaborative space to explore these experiences with care, creativity, and solution-focused guidance. Somatic psychotherapy with me provides a space to breathe, slow down, and connect with your inner life and wisdom. Drawing from Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and Dance/Movement Therapy, I integrate body awareness, nervous system and parts work, creative expression, and practical tools to support emotional regulation, insight, and meaningful change. Healing often begins in small moments of being truly met. I believe it unfolds through authentic, non-judgmental connection, where curiosity, attunement, and care create space to rediscover who you are. I offer a warm, supportive presence that nurtures resilience, clarity, self-trust, joy, and a deepening sense of belonging within yourself. Email me to schedule a free 15-minute call to see if we’re a good fit to work together.
I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist outside of Denver, CO. Most of my clinical experience has been treating eating disorders and other co-occurring addictive behaviors. Life can often present us with challenges that leave us feeling not like ourselves. Many of us seek to deepen connections to feel a sense of peace, wellness, and fulfillment in our lives, but don't know where to begin. I offer a holistic approach to therapy using evidence based practices, somatic/body techniques, mindfulness/meditation, & family systems techniques within an attachment framework. If you are experiencing changes/transitions, have concerns about self-esteem and identity, or experience stress, anxiety, depression or trauma, let's work together to provide you a space to process your experiences and sense of relief. I offer telehealth, office, and nature based sessions. The outdoors can offer a place of healing and rejuvenation. My practice utilizes nature to enhance the healing impacts of traditional talk therapy. I offer a walk-and-talk model that combines the freeing element of being outdoors with psychotherapy. Movement in the outdoors gives us the ability to access our emotions and process our experiences while feeling grounded and attuned to the moment. This can be a new and inspiring experience for those who have tried traditional office-based therapy and felt they needed something different or more dynamic.
I love working with college students. You are at an exciting pivot point in your life. Adjusting to college is both exciting and daunting. You may be dealing with social, cultural and academic stress as you adjust to a new environment. You may begin to look at your childhood and teen years from a new perspective. You may be thinking about the life you want to design for yourself moving forward, and the impact you want to make in the world. I have worked with student athletes and others juggling the demands of college life. In Colorado Springs, I work with students from Colorado College, UCCS, and Pikes Peak State College. I am happy to work with students from UC Boulder and Colorado School of Mines via Telehealth. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal and thrive, and sort out what's distressing or confusing you, including academic stress, romantic relationships, family relationships, friendships, and your relationship with yourself. I offer ways to understand and manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity issues. I am client-centered and take a holistic biopsychosocial approach. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship, and I use evidence-based practices and the latest scientific research to help you achieve relief, clarity, and joy.
I work with adolescents, young adults and adults who are looking to better understand themselves and create a more meaningful, connected life. Together, we’ll tailor therapy to your unique values, goals, and lived experiences—especially in the areas where you feel stuck or uncertain. I bring over a decade of experience providing therapy that is collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to the unique needs of each person. My training is integrative—I draw from psychodynamic, relational, and behavioral approaches to support meaningful and lasting growth. Finding a therapist who feels like the right fit can be one of the hardest—and most important—steps in starting therapy. If you’re curious about working together, I’d love to offer a free phone consultation to learn more about what you’re looking for, answer any questions you might have, and talk about how I can support you in your therapy journey. Feel free to outreach me or schedule a consultation at https://drlindseyharcus.sessionshealth.com/.

Hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a psychotherapist based in Durango, Colorado, offering both in-person and online therapy for adults who are seeking personal growth, reconnection, and a deeper sense of belonging—to self, others, and the natural world. I work with individuals and groups navigating life transitions, perfectionism, anxiety, and attachment wounds. Many of the people I work with feel called toward therapy that is experiential, relational, and different from talk therapy alone. My work is rooted in the study of attachment and human development, and shaped by years of training in nature-based and equine-assisted psychotherapy. I draw on a holistic, relational approach that honors the intelligence of the body, the nervous system, and nature’s rhythms. Our work together will support you in re-sensitizing to your inner experience, reconnecting with your innate wisdom, and restoring your sense of vitality and belonging.

Can You Relate? As a teen, you feel lost, broken, misunderstood, unseen and unheard. You don’t know why it has to be so hard. You look around and desire the relationships, confidence and life that other people seem to have so easily. You’re worried about what other people think and can’t seem to get out in your head. As a young adult, you search for independence, but feel overwhelmed with all the “adulting”. There are so many transitions to manage and questions you can’t answer just yet. You want to address the things that do not feel quite right, so you can create the best version of yourself and thrive. Im a firm believer that your struggles do not define you. You come with a unique set of beliefs and experiences that shape the way you show up with yourself and the world. I welcome all my clients to show up to our space exactly as they are, and I promise to do the same. As I often find myself pushing back on traditional ways of thinking about approaches to mental health and wellness, I embrace the unconventional and seek to find out-of-the-box and cutting edge solutions that align with your values, strengths and goals. I don’t treat problems — I partner with you. Together, we will build a connected and balanced life free of the limitations you currently feel and experience. I’m excited to get to know you! I’m even more excited for you to get to know yourself in new, life-changing ways. Throughout our time together, we will look at all the not-so-fun parts of you and the not-yet-understood parts. Most importantly, you’ll discover the very best parts of you that were always there, but perhaps got a bit lost as life got more complicated.
