If you have ever felt like you are going to crawl out of your skin, if you feel isolated, depressed, anxious and hopeless you have come to the right person and place. You are stronger and more resilient than you know. I am a Solution Focused strength-based therapist who believes moving forward is the direction we want to go. Counseling often involves re-sculpting of our mind and behavior into healthier modes of being. We must allow ourselves the grace and openness to recognize and embrace our full potential. Come along, and together, let's navigate the path of new beginnings and tap into the awesomeness that is you. I believe people are inherently good. Because of our uniqueness, I believe that there is no one size fits all approach to counseling as everyone experiences depression, anxiety, anger, grief, or trauma in their way. I look forward to working with you. I have the flexibility to meet in person or online.
Amy brings a warm, compassionate, and calm energy to each patient interaction. As a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, she strives to provide a caring relationship where each person can feel safe and accepted. Research increasingly supports an integrative approach to mental health care, which can include medication, therapy, nutritional support, and exploration of habits, history, and stressors. Amy will collaborate with you to find a treatment plan that is clinically appropriate and sensitive to your personal needs. She welcomes all patients but has special interest in perinatal mental health, mood disorders, ADHD, and working with teens, LGBTQ+ individuals and older adults. Amy graduated with a master’s degree in nursing from Regis University in Denver and was inspired to choose mental health as her practice specialty. Her graduate level psychiatric clinical training provided opportunities to work with diverse patient populations in and out of the hospital setting, in a corrections facility and at an outpatient addiction treatment center. Most recently, she worked at a small private outpatient clinic supporting clients experiencing a wide variety of mental health diagnoses. As a registered nurse, she worked for 16 years at St. Joseph Hospital caring for patients after surgery, during and after high-risk pregnancy, and caring for families experiencing fetal loss. She obtained certification in maternal-newborn and pain management nursing born out of passion and experience in these areas. In her free time, Amy enjoys playing flute in the Lone Tree Symphony, attending film festivals, traveling, hiking and being with family and friends. She is accepting new patients and provides visits both in person at the Lakewood office and via telehealth.
Reaching out for help when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or lost is one of the bravest things a person can do. Those first steps toward healing and growth are powerful and sacred. So I'm so happy that you're here! My hope is to walk with children, teens, and young adults to rediscover the wisdom, beauty, and healing found within to live a life of fullness and joy. Through mindfulness and emotionally-focused approaches I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can unpack painful beliefs, stories, and the experiences that burden them. I am passionate about working with clients through life transitions, spiritual trauma and questioning, body image issues, and helping individuals move toward self-acceptance and self-compassion. In a world that feels chaotic and heavy- I hope to help clients find a place to rest and come back to their true self. Hi my name is Lucinda and I work with traditional, non-traditional, and first-generation students who are struggling with adjusting to college life, anxiety, significant life transitions, and grief/loss. Becoming a therapist is my second career. I graduated from MSU Denver with my Masters of Social Work and I'm a Clinical Social Work Candidate working towards full licensure as an LCSW. My first career was working in higher education for 14 years, mostly as an Academic Advisor. I understand how difficult it can be to attend college right out of high school or going back after a long break. It can be stressful. I want to help you navigate the uncertainties that life will throw your way while in school, while at the same time being able to be successful in achieving your academic and life goals. Let's connect and see how I can help you overcome anything that may be holding you back from the life you deserve.

Many different disorders can be improved or be eliminated by using neurofeedback. First a QEEG is collected. This involves placing a cap on the client’s head and collecting brain wave information from 19 specific sites. This information is processed, and a brain map is produced. The therapist then evaluates the data, completes a comprehensive health history, and then based on both symptoms and goals, develops an individualized protocol of successive neurotherapy sessions. Treatment is noninvasive, is not painful, but does require a commitment. Just as you must work out your body consistently to see results, neurofeedback sessions must be completed two to three times a week to be beneficial. The neurofeedback treatments involve placing sensors on the scalp. The sensors pick up brainwave signals which are first amplified and then filtered through software that works with a computer to generate real time feedback. The brain activity is either increased or decreased in the identified areas until the optimal balance is achieved The typical treatment plan will vary from individual to individual, but most common disorders can be resolved in about 40 sessions.
If you’re fighting anxiety, ADHD or trauma, I want to help you. You deserve support (and joy!), and you don’t have to go through this alone. Constant negative thoughts and relationship patterns can trick us into that nothing has ever helped and nothing will. Together, we can pinpoint where you want to grow, and what’s been getting in your way. If you’re sick of feeling constantly exhausted, distracted, drained, numb, empty, restless, or irritable, therapy can help. I am an expert in helping teens and adults tackle seasons of life that are especially tough. I support people struggling with racing thoughts, constant worry, freezing or lashing out, feeling edgy, compulsive rituals, or the need for “just right.” You already do so much for everyone—let me help you. Starting therapy can feel terrifying. Finding the right therapist is essential! But research proves even severe anxiety or trauma can improve with therapy. With effective support and your willingness to try, change will happen. Call or email TODAY - I offer in-person and virtual sessions!

I've been practicing for 12+ years and in recent years have realized that I love working with individual women 15+yo, so I began catering my practice ONLY to this population! Please check out my website - I hope it will answer many of your questions, but please reach out to me by phone or email with any additional questions. Also, though you can book an appointment directly through my website and I try to keep those options updated, please contact me if you'd like to make an appointment but none of the times listed work for you.
