Hello! My name is Jenna Smith and I am a certified Brainspotting therapist for teens and college aged students. I have been a practicing psychotherapist for the past 20 years. I specialize in areas dealing with: anxiety, grief, depression, divorce, trauma, life transitions and sports performance. I utilize a somatic technique known as brainspotting when working with my clients. This technique encompasses both the mind and body. This form of therapy is incredibly powerful as it helps clients dive deeper and process various traumas, grief and other mental health issues. Brainspotting also helps enhance sports performance and creativity. If you want to learn more or have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Hi there! My name is Rachel (she/her), and I specialize in supporting young adults who might be navigating mood and anxiety, identity, OCD and eating disorders. You deserve a nonjudgmental space where you can show up fully, explore your identity, strengths and challenges, and above all, be seen and validated. If transportation is a barrier or you resonate with a less formal approach to therapy, I offer community-based, in-home and outdoor therapy options as well.
Wonton (Professionally trained Therapy Dog) & I are so excited you've found us! Are you curious about Animal-Assisted Therapy & connecting with an enthusiastic, loving, compassionate, 8-year-old, yellow lab? It can feel really isolating to struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and/or addiction. On top of that, it can be challenging to connect with people who understand that experience without judgement & can offer appropriate support. Therapy Dogs offer a very unique type of support for mental health: nervous system regulation, somatic processing, grounding skills, relationship skills, general improvements in mood, etc. Wonton & I have been a partnered therapy team since 2018 & we offer a warm, non-judgmental approach to facilitate the challenging work of therapy. We utilize a combination of therapeutic modalities such as Animal-Assisted Therapy, along with CBT, DBT, ACT, Trauma-Focused, & Solution-Focused specialties to support young adults/adults. After my family experienced something traumatic and we went through our own grief and healing journey (ongoing), this experience helped me to relate to a broader range of folks who were also hurting. I became a mental health professional because I love connecting with people and want to help them navigate unique and challenging circumstances. I am passionate about partnering with people who are choosing change and healing in order to discover more about themselves, grow, improve their quality of life and relationships with others. Prior to working in the mental health field, I worked as an Administrative Personnel at a University in Colorado for over 10 years and supported undergraduate and graduate students which allowed me opportunities to witness the unique challenges that students experience. If you are struggling with the stress of meeting new expectations, adjusting to college environments, managing your course load along with other adult responsibilities, trying to find your identity as a young adult, struggling in your relationships, having homesickness, and/or managing an illness(es), then you are not alone in this experience. If you are ready to choose change & healing in order to discover more about yourself, grow, & improve your quality of life & relationships with others, then Wonton & I would love an opportunity to connect & partner with you! (Current Availability: Mondays 9am Virtual, 1pm Virtual; and Thursdays 1pm In-person, 3pm In-person).

Finding the right fit in therapy is an important first step, so please take a few minutes to learn more about us and how we work. At Denver Dynamic Therapy we emphasize collaboration, empathy, and working together with our patients on their path towards healing and personal growth. College can bring a lot: new freedom, pressure to succeed, and the stress of figuring out who you are and where you are headed. Many of the students I work with feel weighed down by anxiety, burnout, overthinking, imposter syndrome, or the pressure to be perfect. Others are coping with ADHD, past/current trauma, anxiety and social anxiety or just the everyday stress of classes, relationships, and big transitions. With 12 years of experience working in university counseling centers, I have a deep understanding of the unique challenges of college and graduate students' lives. In our work together, you will find a supportive space to talk honestly about what is on your mind, learn coping tools to manage stress, and feel more grounded and confident. My goal is to help you feel less alone and more able to handle the challenges of college life.
I'm passionate about helping my clients move towards positive changes in their personal, professional and academic life while addressing the underlying issues such as past trauma, attachment and relationships wounds, childhood and family issues, ongoing stress and life challenges. I offer EMDR and talk therapy for individuals (18+) and couples. I widely use attachment focused and trauma informed approach in my treatment, as well as solution-focused approach. You will define a desirable change and we'll work on finding a way to make it happen while using your strengths, available resources and therapeutic support.
I work with you to not just understand what's going on, but also to develop tools to help. Tools to stop panic attacks, tools to manage depression, tools to get organized and figure out what you want in life. We work together to see what works reliably for you. In addition to talking things through, in session and between sessions sometimes you might be writing, sometimes trying a challenging behavior change, sometimes engaging in mindfulness, and sometimes using visualizations. My aim is for you to feel better, and to know what to do to keep feeling better or help yourself if problems resurface. And I try to work efficiently with you, so you are back to your life (and ending therapy) as soon as makes sense for you. Give me a call to set up an initial (free) conversation, at 303-870-9195.

As a compassionate therapist for individuals, couples, and families, I help diverse populations navigate anxiety, depression, attachment and relational issues, identity exploration, difficult emotions, problematic behaviors, neurodivergence, communication challenges, trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, social isolation, self-esteem, grief and loss, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Throughout my sessions, I take a panoramic view of the biological, psychological, social, environmental, and spiritual contexts in which each individual exists, helping to unpack internal and external barriers to wellbeing. When appropriate, I also love to explore the role of humor and creative self-expression in healing. I believe in prioritizing humility, shared power, and curiosity at all times, which allows me to be a supportive partner in discovering each person’s inner wisdom and lived contexts that guide the work. I look forward to partnering with you in this next stage of your growth journey. I specialize in systemic therapy and helping folks deepen their relationships with themselves, which often renders deeper and more authentic relationships with others. My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and affirming, reflecting my passion for making mental health care more accessible and collaborating with each person to help them find greater joy, meaning, insight, and expansiveness, whether life feels full of tidal waves or, at times, far too still. In our work together, I strive to create a warm and empathetic space in which all patients feel truly safe, heard, and supported. Rather than aiming to “fix,” my goal is to help you access and build upon your inherent worth and the strengths you already have. This is achieved through a creative, integrative, and fluid therapeutic style based on your needs, though I lean toward an attachment-focused, psychodynamic lens. I draw heavily from narrative therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic interventions, and mindfulness, but also use Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solutions-Focused Therapy, and other modalities to help you come home to yourself, find clarity and connection, and develop healthier habits. My path to becoming a therapist is informed by my own mental health journey, in addition to my lifelong interests in human connection and development, psychology, and service. After seeking treatment in my early twenties, I then intensively studied yoga and developed a greater understanding for the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Though I've lived and worked in many settings, with diverse populations, my experience as a poet in writing workshops allowed me to see the great value in creative self-exploration and expression. Being in shared spaces with others as we grappled with the deepest pockets of our hearts and minds deepened my desire to help others find themselves, find healing, and find connection. In my therapeutic practice now, I bring an open mind and careful attention to each session, believing that a foundation of trust and respect is key to the therapeutic process. Outside of work, I like to keep my body and mind active by distance running, skiing, and practicing yoga. I feel most myself when I'm outside, exploring nature, seeing live music, or sitting somewhere peaceful and writing poetry or devouring a good book. I'm also a massive word game enthusiast and jigsaw puzzler, and love to challenge my perfectionism and get creative in the kitchen. Nothing makes me happier than sharing delicious food and laughter with loved ones!
I became a therapist because I genuinely want to provide a space for people to show up just as they are. You don’t need to feel a certain way, say anything specific, or meet any goal on my timeline. When we can sit back and accept ourselves as we are, we begin to hear things we couldn’t while trying to fix or fight parts of ourselves. I believe even the most challenging parts of us have protective purposes—they deserve curiosity, not shame. I work from a place of intuition and connection more than a strict model or method. I believe in being direct and encouraging you to take the risk of getting uncomfortable. At the same time, I’ll meet you with real empathy, patience, and compassion—plus a bit of humor or lightness when it feels right. Finding the right therapist is hard—especially one who truly sees your full, authentic self. If anything you’ve read resonates, I’d love to connect. Reach out for a free consultation and we can see if this is the space you’ve been looking for.
